20 Mexican Peso Banknote
Specifically from the F family of notes, which were printed on polymer.
The front side features a portrait of Benito Juárez, the 26th president of Mexico, known for his role in the Reform War and his famous quote about respecting the rights of others. The reverse side depicts Monte Albán, an archaeological site in Oaxaca, along with the symbol of Cocijo and the Bank of Mexico's mark.
Circulation: While once the most commonly used small denomination note, the 20-peso banknote is gradually being replaced by a 12-sided 20-peso coin, introduced in 2019.
Historical: The design of the note draws inspiration from the state of Oaxaca, and the image of Benito Juárez symbolizes his fight for human freedoms and his promotion of education.
